If you’re in Chicago this weekend, we know we’ll see you at A la Carte Galore’s 2 Year Anniversary Empowerment & Networking Mixer this upcoming Saturday!
In case you didn’t know, A la carte Galore is celebrating 2 years in business with its annual Empowerment and Networking Mixer. The purpose of this event is to empower, inspire, motivate, and connect entrepreneurs, professionals, and leaders. Their goal is to attract both men and women of all backgrounds, professions, and industries. Success is achieved when like-minded individuals work together.
Success is also achieved when you empower yourself! In both your professional and personal life, you can apply different tactics to motivate yourself to win.
We were able to catch the woman of the hour, A la Carte Galore’s owner and Executive Planner, Chatoya Antwine. Below you’ll find her top 5 ways to stay encouraged as an entrepreneur!
1) Create a plan, speak it into existence, and act on it daily.
Take a sheet of paper and write down your ultimate goal in life. Include what it is that you want to achieve, how you will achieve it, the date in which you intend to accomplish your goal, the purpose of your goal, and why you want to accomplish it. Be honest with what you truly want out of life even if it “seems” impossible. You have the ability to create and accomplish anything you put your mind to.
Read this aloud at least once a day and envision that your goal is already coming to pass. This will help you stay empowered and serve as a reminder of what you should working toward each day.
“Don’t forget to write down your “impossible” goals. So often we won’t even write it down because we think we can’t do it. This is not true!” – Myleik Teele
2) Have faith when making decisions.
If you don’t believe and have faith in yourself, how can you expect anything great to happen? One of the keys to success is faith. Having faith allows you to be able to conquer your fears, have a greater understanding of your failures, and trust God’s plan for your life.
3) Be willing to give up sleep in order to become successful.
“When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you will be successful,” says Eric Thomas, as known as ET the Hip Hop Preacher. ET stresses that you have to be willing to give up sleep. Everyone is awarded the same 24 hours in a day so everyone has the same amount of time each day to wake up and become successful. Oprah has 24 hours, Diddy has 24 hours, and so do you. Some days you may only be able to get 2 or 3 hours of sleep, but the result of this sacrifice will be so much greater.
“Because if you go to sleep, you might miss the opportunity to be successful. That’s how bad you gotta want it.” – Eric Thomas
4) Surround yourself with like-minded individuals.
As you position yourself for greater, you have to accept the fact that not everyone will be able to walk your success journey with you. You have to eliminate all negativity from your life and you can not be afraid even if it means removing those who you care deeply about. If they aren’t pouring positivity into your life they will only hinder you reaching your highest potential. I always say that what God removes he replaces with greater. Sometimes you have to be willing to lose a little in order to gain a lot.
“Surround yourself with only people who are going to lift you higher.”- Oprah Winfrey
5) Find something to motivate you weekly, if not daily.
Be self-motivated. I send out motivational messages daily, but I also seek out for empowerment and motivation. I listen to Dr. Shante’s Believing Bigger podcast, Myleik is an inspiration to me and she also has an amazing podcast. I can watch ET’s youtube videos everyday! I read the bible and daily devotionals, as well as educational books to help me grow personally and professionally. You will never have the answers to everything and this is why it is so important to continue to increase your knowledge and skills as well as utilize resources in order to continuously grow in life.
